Clinical Supervision
I am a Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council approved Clinical Supervisor. I view the supervisory relationship as a collaborative space where you are able to bring challenging cases and process your professional experience and role. I work from a strengths-based/self-compassion clinical approach. Social Work can be an incredibly demanding and stressful role. It can also be incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. My goal with a supervisee is to model, develop and refine adaptive self-care practices so you are able to sustain yourself in this field.

faq’S
How often do we meet for supervision?
The Texas BHEC board requirement is for 4 hours of supervision a month. I typically schedule supervision for 1 hour, 1 time a week. We can adjust the time and frequency as needed to meet the 4 hour a month requirement.
How long do I need to be in supervision?
According to Texas BHEC, LMSWs must complete 100 hours of supervision in conjunction with 3,000 work hours. Hours must be completed over a minimum of 24 months and not to exceed 48 months.
What happens during supervision?
I usually begin with a brief check-in and then supervisee will bring in cases for consultation. The format and structure is often adjusted to meet the individuals needs of each supervisee.
What is the investment?
Clinical Supervision is an investment of both time and resources. Individual Supervision would be an investment of $320 a month. Depending on demand and supervisee needs, I may offer group supervision at a reduced rate.
